Are your cards genuine?
Yes. We don't sell reproductions or proxies. Sealed, singles or bulk, everything here is the genuine article, passed to you exactly as it reached us. Our sealed stock is bought through legitimate Australian retail and official distribution channels.
Is BackesTCG a legitimate shop?
Yes, and you can check every part of this: BackesTCG is an ABN-registered, family-run Australian card shop (ABN 72 955 230 843, New South Wales), trading here and on eBay, where our feedback record is 100% positive across every order we have shipped: ebay.com.au/str/backestcg. Every order ships tracked from NSW in 1-2 business days, and the people answering hello@backestcg.com.au are the owners.
Can you guarantee what I'll pull?
Nobody can. Pull rates are decided at the print run, not at the shop counter. What's ours to promise is the seal, and we do: the full promise is on our guarantee page.
What does "sealed" actually mean here?
Untouched: exactly as the factory made it, shrink-wrap and all. We don't weigh packs or open boxes to check what's inside, and nothing here is ever resealed. The wrap comes off in your hands or not at all. Everything sealed we sell is in the sealed product collection.
How fast will my order ship?
In-stock orders are dispatched in 1-2 business days, with tracking on every order, no matter the size. Preorders ship as soon as their stock lands with us, and every preorder listing carries its release date. Delivery from there is Australia Post's leg: their published estimate for standard parcels is 2-6 business days.
What does shipping cost?
Orders over $250 ship free anywhere in Australia. Under $250, the rate is shown at checkout before you pay, so there are no surprises.
Do you ship overseas?
We ship within Australia only at the moment.
If you're overseas and there's something you really want, email hello@backestcg.com.au. We'll price the actual postage and tell you honestly whether it's worth it.
Do you sell Naruto Mythos?
Yes. Set 2 Shinobi Shiren, 1st Edition, English: the booster display and both starter decks are sold by preorder in small batches on our order with the game's official Australian distributor. Each product page shows whether its current batch is still open; everything from the game is on our Naruto Mythos shelf, and the Naruto Mythos in Australia guide covers editions, the calendar and where to buy.
Do you sell Yu-Gi-Oh!?
Yes. Our first Yu-Gi-Oh! product is the Magnificent Maestros box, on order with an official Konami distributor for the 12 November 2026 Australian release. It is sold by preorder in small batches; the product page shows whether the current batch is still open, and the notify-me button there emails you if a further one opens. Everything from the game is on our Yu-Gi-Oh! shelf, and the serial-numbered Grand Master Rare cards are explained on our Magnificent Maestros in Australia page.
How do preorders work?
We only take preorders on stock we have ordered in our own name: your order reserves a unit of our order. Where we pay a distributor only when the stock leaves them, the product page says so and we open only part of that order for preorder. If fewer arrive than we have sold, orders are filled in the order they were placed and every order we cannot fill is refunded in full. Everything currently open is on our preorders page. The release date, or the distributor's arrival estimate where the set is already out, is written on every listing before you buy, and payment is taken when you order.
Once the product releases and lands with us, it's out the door to you within 1-2 business days. If your order spans more than one release date, each release ships to you as it lands: a wave that clears $250 on its own ships free, and the remaining waves ship together in one dispatch at no extra cost, or you can split a wave out early for a flat $9.95 per extra dispatch, just reply to your order confirmation and ask. Where your order paid a shipping rate at checkout, that rate covers its first dispatch.
What if a release date moves?
We update the listing and email you straight away, and you choose: wait it out or take a full refund. Release dates belong to the manufacturer, and sometimes they move them.
Can I cancel a preorder?
Yes: any time before dispatch, for a full refund. Email us with your order number and it's done. We may decline future preorders where cancellations are repeated.
Can I order preorder and in-stock items together?
Yes. In-stock items that clear $250 on their own ship free straight away. Otherwise everything ships together in one dispatch when the preorder lands, or you can split the in-stock part out early for a flat $9.95. Email us any time and we'll sort out what suits you.
What if my parcel never arrives?
Then that's ours to fix, not yours: replacement or refund, and we chase the courier. Every order is tracked, so you can follow it the whole way.
What if the outer box has a small mark on it?
Sealed product is sold for what's inside. Outer boxes can pick up small marks on their way through the factory and distribution chain. That's normal across the hobby, and it doesn't touch the cards. Anything beyond minor is covered by the guarantee.
What condition are your cards in?
Sealed product is exactly that: still in the factory wrap, never opened and never tampered with.
Singles and bulk lots are hand-checked. Nothing bent, creased, water-damaged or edge-worn goes out. If a card doesn't meet that standard, we don't sell it.
What's in a bulk lot?
Genuine Pokémon cards, sorted to whatever the listing describes: holos, reverse holos, or a mix — see the bulk lots we have on now, such as the 500 holo lot. They're good for filling collection gaps or as a generous gift, and going through a pile of holos is a pleasure in itself.
Can I return something?
If your order arrives damaged or isn't what we described, tell us within 7 days: replacement or refund, your choice. When the mistake is ours, we carry the return postage too.
We don't accept change-of-mind returns on sealed product. That's standard across the hobby, and it protects you too: returns never go back on the shelf, so what you buy has been ours and only ours.
None of this affects your rights under Australian Consumer Law, which apply regardless of what any store policy says.
Do you buy cards or collections?
Yes, we're always buying. A shoebox from the loft, a collection you've outgrown, sealed product you'd rather turn into cash: send it our way. Pokémon especially, but we'll look at One Piece and Magic too.
How it works:
- Email hello@backestcg.com.au with a rough idea of what you have. Photos help enormously. Quick phone shots of the stacks are fine.
- We'll tell you honestly whether it's something we can use, and roughly what it's worth.
- If it works for both of us, we agree a price and sort payment and postage.
There's no obligation and no pressure: if your cards are worth more sold individually than we'd pay for the lot, we'll tell you exactly that.
You're on eBay too. Should I buy there or here?
Both work, and it's the same people packing either way. Buying here supports the shop directly, and sealed product and preorders land here first.
Our eBay store is at ebay.com.au/str/backestcg, 100% positive, and you're welcome to check.
How do I get in touch?
Email hello@backestcg.com.au. You're emailing the people who own the shop, and we answer, usually within a day.
