It started with wanting a hobby to share.
I was looking for something I could share with my son as he grows, and nostalgia took me straight back to Pokémon and the cards I traded as a kid. One YouTube video later, the collecting itch was properly back.
From there I started looking into the other card games, and One Piece was never in doubt. I've been a fan of the anime for a good fifteen years. BackesTCG grew step by step from that hobby: bulk Pokémon cards on eBay first, then sealed product, then this store.
What we actually do
BackesTCG is me, my wife, and a very small person who is not yet much help with the packing.
We sell sealed Pokémon, One Piece and Palworld TCG product, preorders and bulk lots. Every order is checked as it's packed: if a card is bent, creased or marked, it doesn't go out, and if a sealed box reaches us damaged, it never reaches you.
That sounds obvious, but plenty of sellers don't do it, which is why we wrote the guarantee down and put our name on it. And you don't have to take our word for any of this: our eBay record is 100% positive across every order we've ever shipped, and you're welcome to check it live.
Where we're going
Right now we're a small shop in New South Wales, trading here and on eBay. We're building this store properly rather than quickly.
The plan is sealed product at real scale: booster boxes and cases through official distribution, so we can offer proper range at proper prices. We're working on that now, and Magic: The Gathering follows Pokémon and One Piece as supply allows. Palworld TCG is the first piece of that plan in place: we hold an official account with the game's Australian distributor, and our Palworld restocks come through it.
